While many Kansas City Chiefs fans may have seen DeAndre Hopkins as a lackluster acquisition for the team back then via a midseason trade, now it seems that the Baltimore Ravens are seeing him as a bigger and more impressive tool to pair with Lamar Jackson as they sign him to a one-year deal heading into the 2025 NFL season.

At the age of 32, Hopkins brings in a new dynamic and a lot of experience on the board for the Ravens – who fell short in the divisional against the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens surely welcome a massive offensive talent and hopes that it will be enough for them to come up with a huge campaign with another pass-catcher in the mix.

Baltimore has kept retooling its squad so far, and it cannot be denied that they remain as one of the elite contenders in the AFC. Who knows, maybe Hopkins is the missing piece that the team needs to rely on and deliver a promising championship run that they have been looking for in many years in the Jackson era.

Teaming Up with an Elite Offense

Jackson joins a massive unit on the offensive end for the Eagles along with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, as well as the tight end duo of Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. While he did come up with a huge push that arguably led to 56 catches for 610 yards and five touchdowns - 41 receptions, 437 yards, and four TDs coming in 10 games as a member of the Chiefs.

Still, Baltimore is getting Hopkins past his prime. In 12 seasons alone, Hopkins has tallied 12,965 yards and 83 touchdowns on 984 receptions. Considering that he plays at full health this season, Hopkin may well be set to become the 21st player in league history to join the 13,000-yard club and 16th to eclipse 1,000 catches.

On top of all that, he is also on pace to set up a new record – a 100-yard receiving season with a 13th different quarterback. That says a lot about how Hopkins has been really a productive performer on the field regardless of who sets the plays for him. It may well be an indicator of greatness on the big stage all along.

The Ravens’ offense could take on a more dynamic shape with Hopkins setting the tone and demanding double teams, which would, in turn, create more opportunities for others to step up and contribute. This balance would make the Ravens a far more dangerous team in both the air and on the ground.

The goal, of course, is to help Lamar Jackson make it to the Super Bowl stage for the first time, and the Ravens offense really clocked in well with this addition, which should certainly play a huge role in their aspirations of taking down both the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs en route to the Super Bowl stage.

Big Adjustment

DeAndre Hopkins’ arrival in Baltimore would undoubtedly elevate the Ravens' offense, providing a true top-tier wide receiver for quarterback Lamar Jackson. With Hopkins’ exceptional route-running, hands, and ability to make spectacular catches, he would become a go-to target in key situations, particularly in the red zone.

His proven ability to excel in contested catches and high-pressure moments would add another dimension to Baltimore's passing game, which has historically leaned on the run and tight end heavy sets. As a result, Hopkins' presence could force opposing defenses to respect the pass more, opening up additional lanes for Jackson and the running backs.

With his precise route-running and ability to create separation, Hopkins would offer Jackson a reliable option in those high-leverage scenarios. In short, Hopkins would not just be a statistical addition, but a transformative player who could help elevate Baltimore into a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
