Mobile Sports Betting Performance
During the month of November, which of course included Thanksgiving, when NFL games on the day receive high viewership, total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for mobile sports betting was $231.6m, showing growth of 53.5% year-on-year.
This total was also the highest figure seen in the state for mobile sports betting since the market first went live in January 2022, with the previous high recorded in January 2024 when GGR was $211.5m.
Handle was the second-highest ever seen in the state, at $2.27bn, which is down from October’s record handle of $2.32bn, but 7.4% higher than November 2023.
FanDuel led the way when looking at the individual operators when it came to both handle, at $921.2m, and GGR, at $102.6m.
Commercial Casino Results
Meanwhile, for the Empire State’s four commercial casinos, total GGR reached $56.9m during the month of November, representing a 5.1% rise year-on-year, with Rivers Casino and Resort bringing the highest total at $17.8m.
As would be expected the largest chunk of total GGR came from slots and electronic gaming terminals, which brought in $40.3m, while table game GGR was valued just under $15m and poker tables were $954,211. Sports wagering GGR, meanwhile, was $639,773.
Total net revenue which went to operators during the month was $43.1m with the gaming tax set at $13.7m.
