This season has been a massive spectacle for the Philadelphia Eagles so far as the team has now made it to the postseason for the fourth year in a row. The team has been really fun to watch this season as they gear up for a chance to win the Super Bowl now more than ever, especially after winning one back in Super Bowl LII and then missing out on their recent chances.

At this point, the Eagles have been really in dire need of growth and improvement in their games over the years, and they have met that goal since head coach Nick Sirianni took over the helm and steered them to the right direction, showing that they have what it takes to win it all and prove that they are also contenders to watch out for.

So far, this fourth playoff berth is the second-longest streak for any coach in the history of the Eagles, with Andy Reid – the current head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs – who led the Eagles to five playoff runs in a row from 2000 to 2004. So far, this is set to be the new standard for Philly, who has been one of the hottest teams in the league so far.

Clinching the Playoff Spot

Jalen Hurts scored two touchdowns for the Eagles and went 14-21 with 108 yards to help the Eagles beat the Carolina Panthers in a rally victory as they went down by three for most of the game before edging them in the late parts of the game. Philadelphia had to rally from an 0-3 start in the first quarter and ended the second with a 14-10 lead.

The Panthers would retake the lead in a Chuba Hubbard touchdown in the third quarter at 16-14. However, Jalen Hurts’ final touchdown in the fourth proved pivotal to win the game, especially with Saquon Barkley scoring a two-point rush as well. It was a promising game from start to finish, and the Eagles scored the win when it mattered most.

By the end of the game, Philly salvaged this game as they were outscored in total yards, but dominated the rushing yards 209-118, which played a huge role in their late scoring rally that helped them secure the much-needed victory. This win also marks their 9th overall, which is the second-longest in the league behind the Lions’ 11-game winning rally.

At this point, it is expected that the Eagles will continue to ride on their winning pace, with the team set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants in its final four games of the season.

Anticipating a Rivalry

When the season wraps up, the Lions and the Eagles are going to be the two teams to look out for in the NFC, and it cannot be denied that these two teams have been able to come up with impressive performances for most of the season so far. The last time they met? A three-point win, 38-35 for the Eagles over the Lions back in 2022. While these two teams look different than they did two years ago, there is a lot of hype and expectations for the two contenders to look out for now more than ever.

At this point, these two teams are likely to square off for the NFC championship, and it cannot be denied that their clash will likely bring a lot of fans into a spiral with the fiery showdown bringing a lot of excitement in the coming months.
