Happy Hour has always had a special place in many peoples’ hearts, as it is more than just a special hour (or hours) where anyone can get discounts or buy 1, take 1 deals on drinks in bars – it’s also a time when we can relax and unwind, alone or with a group of friends or colleagues. Now when we talk about Happy Hour in New Jersey, it’s even better. New Jersey is a melting pot of vibrant cultures and bustling cities, and of course it has a lively bar scene – which, in turn, makes it the perfect place to enjoy a stellar happy hour! From the glitzy casinos of Atlantic City all the way to the trendy streets of Jersey City, New Jersey’s bars, pubs, lounges, grills, taverns, and restaurants offer fantastic deals that cater to every taste and every budget.

Without further ado, here are the best Happy Hour Deals across New Jersey in 2025.
The hottest Happy Hour deals in Atlantic City
1. The Irish Pub
Website: theirishpub.com
Address: 164 St. James Place at the Boardwalk
Why it’s hip and happening: The Irish Pub has cemented itself into the hearts of NJ residents and visitors not only because of its innate charm (who could resist an Irish pub, after all?) but also because of its fantastic menu. The menu includes such hits as St. James Potatoes, of course, but other dishes such as Jersey Crab Cakes, Jumbo Cold Roast Beef Sandwich, Liverwurst & Onion Sandwich, and the widest selection of imported craft beer.
Located just steps from the iconic Atlantic City boardwalk on 164 St. James Place, The Irish Pub is a classic spot known for its cozy ambiance and unbeatable deals. Its Happy Hour runs from 4 to 7pm every Monday to Friday, and its deals are nothing to sneer at – it includes half-priced draft beers and house wines, and it even has $5 appetizers including wings and sliders. Note that its happy hour deals may change without prior notice. But it’s well worth a visit for other reasons as well: its nostalgic décor (it even has a gift shop!) and relaxed vibe make it the perfect prelude to a night out at the casinos. Plus its menu is unbeatable: it serves fish and chips and the famous St. James Potatoes – crispy steak fries coated with gravy, and one bite feels like you’ve died and gone to heaven!
2. LandShark Bar & Grill
Website: atlanticcity.landsharkbarandgrill.com
Address: 1133 Boardwalk
Why it’s hip and happening: There are many reasons why Landshark always puts a smile on people’s faces, because its tropical beach vibe is alive and well! But along with this, the menu boasts a smorgasbord of beachy delights, such as the famous Seafood Lettuce Wraps, the Burrata (new on the menu but already insanely popular), Poke Bowl (also new on the menu) alongside classics like the Seafood Combo (a sampler of fish & chips, coconut shrimp, and fried shrimp) and the signature Landshark burger, double-stacked burgers grilled to perfection. And it offers the best Happy Hour of them all - it’s from 6pm till closing - who could beat that?
The Landshark Bar & Grill is part of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and this beachside bar at 1133 Boardwalk offers a tropical twist to happy hour. Its Happy Hour is remarkable, because it is offered everyday – and more than this, it extends from 6pm to closing time! The virtually unlimited Happy Hour at Landshark features an extensive beer selection at only $5.50 for domestic drafts, $6.50 for specialty drafts, $7 for house wines, and $8 for cocktails such as the house margarita and the Loaded Landshark. Visitors to the spot applaud its stunning ocean views and live music as they create a laid-back yet lively atmosphere. It also gives a military discount to veterans, so what more could you ask for?
3. Bally’s Beach Bar
Website: casinos.ballys.com/atlantic-city/beach-bar
Address: 1900 Pacific Avenue
Why it’s hip and happening: Just because it’s the coolest beach bar in town! But kidding aside, Bally’s not only epitomizes what a beach bar should be - it also has an adjacent casino if you ever feel lucky. It also has the best fire pits in town, and its barbecue is sizzling - don't forget to try the pulled pork sandwich, as many say it’s lip-smacking good. Be one of the first to visit in the summer - it fills up pretty quickly, so make sure to reserve your seats and secure your spot for a fantastic view of the perfect sunset.
We’ve written about Bally’s Beach Bar before in a review, and now, it has taken the third spot in our list of Atlantic City bars with great Happy Hour discounts for 2025! For those seeking a happy hour with a party vibe, Bally’s Beach Bar is the place to be. It may be closed for the winter, but come summer, Bally’s Beach Bar is ready to take on its loyal patrons with a Happy Hour deal that won’t quit. A little birdie has told us that Bally’s Happy Hour will be from 5 to 8pm on Monday to Thursday, but don’t take our word for it – see and visit it for yourself. Its hot deals include $5 tropical cocktails and $3 domestic beers, and the frozen cocktails are a must-try. The fire pits are also amazing, and the live music will melt all your worries and cares away – the entertainment even includes beachfront bonfires and DJ performances that ensure the fun doesn’t stop when happy hour ends.

Why it’s hip and happening: You couldn’t miss Porta - its three-storey facade beckons to you from a while away, and more than this, its pizza is out of this world. It’s a must-visit just for the pizza alone - and when you add in the drinks, it’s a great hangout. The menu includes brunch, lunch, and dinner, and our favorites at any time of day include: the brunch menu specialties like the 14 ½ (a pizza with tomatoes, ricotta, mozzarella, soppressata, and Calabrian chiles) and the absolutely divine Cacio E Pepe. For lunch, we love the Italian Sausage house-made and the chicken parm. Dinner is our favorite, though, with the Dan De Leon pasta and the Italian Stallion pizza.
Porta in Jersey City – located at 135 Newark Avenue – is known mostly for its rooftop bar and artisanal pizzas. But Porta is a favorite among locals and visitors, who go to this ultra-hip spot for Happy Hours and all kinds of events and happenings. The menu features unique cocktails with a creative twist, which are perfect for adventurous drinkers.
3. O’Hara’s Downtown
Website: oharasjc.com

Why it’s hip and happening: O’Hara’s is always where the party is at - and its charm lies in its great menu and even better cocktails. You can even order its menu online - but why would you when you can hop into the bar and mingle with the young, hip crowd? For the menu, you should try the Philly Spring Rolls, the Bang Bang Shrimp, and the Pulled Ribeye French Dip Sandwich - they are guaranteed to satisfy you in more ways than one. Also, watch out for the Weekly Specials that include Spiced Salmon Tacos, Strip Steak Sandwich, and The Mango Bell (a mix of Mijenta Silver, Nixta, mango cordial, Pasilla Chile foam, and yellow bell pepper).

Of course, when it comes to drinks, there are ‘Mason Jar’ cocktails such as Jack Punch, Hibiscus Pink Lemonade, and O’Hara’s Rum Punch. Happy Hour is from 3 to 7pm, and there is even trivia night starting at 8!

It even has a brilliant menu (who knew?) filled with typical bar food like crispy chicken sandwiches, chicken quesadillas, buffalo wings, and samplers. 3. The Brass Rail
Website: thebrassrailnj.com
Address: 135 Washington Street
Why it’s hip and happening: First of all, it’s a landmark in Hoboken, so anyone should visit The Brass Rail at least once. Secondly, it has transformed itself into a sophisticated, elegant enclave perfect for drinks and dinner with your significant other or relaxing with friends and colleagues. It’s got a superb menu as well - we’re talking a brunch and dinner menu that includes Pernil Tostada, which you can share, and Oaxacan Huevos as well as comfort food like the Open Faced BLT for brunch. If you’re staying for dinner, some must-tries include a wide variety of flatbreads, the Grilled Octopus appetizer, the Brazilian Red Snapper and the Garlic Rubbed Skirt Steak for entrees. But don’t forget the drinks, either - we personally love the Passion for Mezcal (with passion fruit, pineapple, citrus and mezcal) and the Gingerbread Martini, a cozy winter drink made with Irish cream, a house-made gingerbread syrup, and vanilla vodka.
If you’re looking for a classy joint oozing with old-world charm and appeal, look no further than The Brass Rail. The chic interior and excellent service make it ideal for a classy evening out.
