Hyatt and Venetian in Las Vegas Strike New Partnership
Hyatt and the Venetian in Las Vegas have revealed a brand-new team-up, as the Venetian will be available for booking reservations on the World of Hyatt's app and website. In addition, rewards card members will have access to points and rewards.
The Venetian Resort has announced a significant new partnership with global hotel giant Hyatt, entering into a long-term licensing agreement aimed at enhancing guest experiences and expanding its reach. This collaboration positions the iconic Strip resort within Hyatt's extensive network, opening doors to a broader audience through the Hyatt platform.
Seamless integration into the Hyatt ecosystem
In the next few months, The Venetian, operated by Apollo Global Management, will be integrated into Hyatt's booking systems, including its website and the World of Hyatt mobile app. This move not only increases visibility but also allows members of Hyatt's loyalty program to earn and redeem points during their stays at the all-suite resort.
A statement issued by Hyatt emphasized the value of the partnership for its members: "Soon, World of Hyatt members and eligible meeting and event planners will be able to earn and redeem loyalty points on qualifying stays, earn credit toward the Brand Explorer Award and, for World of Hyatt elite members, enjoy additional on-property benefits. With this long-term licensing agreement, Hyatt will offer more choice for rewarding travel experiences and stays in the all-suite resort at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip."
Although financial specifics and the exact launch date of this partnership have not been disclosed, the collaboration is expected to significantly boost The Venetian's appeal to Hyatt's extensive rewards program base, which boasts an estimated 40 million members.
Replacing a longstanding partnership with IHG
The agreement comes on the heels of The Venetian's announcement earlier this year that its long-standing partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts will conclude in January 2025. While no specific reasons were provided for the split, it is speculated that the transition reflects Apollo's preference to align with a hotel organization of its choosing, marking a new chapter in the resort's operations.
This notable shift demonstrates the growing importance of loyalty program synergies in the hospitality and gaming sectors. As evidenced by the success of partnerships like those between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International, these collaborations can unlock immense value for both parties by leveraging expansive rewards networks.
Strengthening MICE and group business
The partnership also aims to strengthen Hyatt and The Venetian's presence in the lucrative MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) sector. According to the press release, the two entities will collaborate to complement each other's strengths in group business, providing seamless experiences for meeting planners and event organizers.
In addition, World of Hyatt plans to offer elite benefits to members of The Venetian Rewards program, further integrating the two loyalty ecosystems and enhancing value for frequent travelers.
Hyatt's growing presence in Las Vegas
The deal with The Venetian marks another significant milestone for Hyatt’s expansion in Las Vegas. Just weeks earlier, the Rio Hotel & Casino officially linked with the World of Hyatt, allowing members to accrue points at the off-Strip property. This followed a March announcement about the partnership, which was particularly notable as Hyatt had recently ended its loyalty-sharing arrangement with MGM Resorts International.
By adding both The Venetian and the Rio to its portfolio, Hyatt is continuing to solidify its presence in a market where loyalty programs play a pivotal role in driving guest engagement.
Competition heats up in loyalty programs
In related news, Treasure Island Hotel & Casino recently unveiled its Treasury Players Club rewards platform, offering patrons more rewarding incentives compared to existing programs from MGM and Caesars.
The partnership between The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and Hyatt represents a transformative step for both entities, combining the resort's luxury offerings with Hyatt's vast global reach and renowned loyalty program. As Las Vegas continues to evolve as a premier destination for both leisure and business travelers, such exciting collaborations are set to redefine guest experiences while setting new standards in hospitality and gaming.
