Bo Nix took over the stage for the Denver Broncos as he led the team to overcome an early 3-0 drought in the first quarter before the team mounted two double-digit quarters to take a huge lead and later hold off the Indianapolis Colts to pull off a 34-30 victory in the preseason clash.

The Broncos held on to a 34-24 lead at 5:55 in the fourth after Blake Watson scored a six-yard run and a Wil Lutz kick to extend the lead to double digits. However, Laquon Treadwell capped off a 16-yard pass from Jason Bean to score a touchdown and cut the lead to four. A failed two-point pass from Jason Bean would later seasl the deal as the Colts failed to rally for another shot at the game.

Nix shined bright in the win for the Broncos, who delivered a total of 125 yards on 15-21 and a touchdown to lead the game. The Broncos went up 1-0 in the preseason in the win and learned a little something about themselves after surviving a promising rally from one of the formidable offensive teams in the NFL.

Bo Nix Shines in Preseason Debut

Nix completed 15 of his 21 passes in the game to take over the game and rally the Broncos with a promising win. He also scored a touchdown and mainly outplayed Jarrett Stidham. If you are not impressed, it is worth noting that Nix was the first-round pick of the Broncos has finished four of his drives that ended in points for the team. That says a lot about how the rookie is expected to make waves in his game and even deliver a promising show of potential in his game.

Sure, he had some key mistakes in the win, but he definitely outplayed Jarrett Sitdham – who is slated to be the team’s starter. Nix would go on to have more playing time and progressed well against the Colts’ defensive wall.

Nix’s case is going to be quite a promising look in the coming games considering the fact that he is still yet to lock up the starting role for the Broncos at this point, but one can say that he is doing a great job of impressing at an early note for the team, and he still has a month to show off his skills and value.

By the Numbers

The Broncos dominated the game from start to finish, even if the Colts managed to show signs of life in the final moments of the game. Denver had a total of 410 yards in the win, coming off 279 passing yards and 131 rushing yards with an average of at least 5.2 yards per play.

The Broncos were in full control and did not show any signs of letting up, proving that the team’s confidence in the game is starting to look like a promising story that will definitely build them into a contender in the making this season.

The Broncos are hoping to see a new groove in their games this season. After finishing 8-9 under Sean Payton’s first season, the team is definitely seeing this win as a good note to learn more about themselves as a whole. After all, this is a chance for them to return to the playoff stage for the first time since 2015.
