Caesars Entertainment Honored at EGR Awards, Takes Home the Biggest Prize of the Night
A superb night for iGaming companies known worldwide: as the United States held a long weekend of celebrations for the 4th of July, the prestigious EGR North America Awards took place almost simultaneously, highlighting the sector’s achievements and innovations in the iGaming landscape.
In a momentous recognition of its long-held leadership in the iGaming industry, Caesars Entertainment bags the EGR North America Awards’ Best Casino Operator this year. This accolade reinforces the company's commitment along with the relentless efforts of its iGaming team. Matthew Sunderland, Caesars Chief iGaming Officer, expressed his pride on LinkedIn, stating that the award reflects the hard work and dedication of their team. He also highlighted the remarkable performance of Caesars Palace Online Casino, which has exceeded expectations once again, and even hinted at more exciting developments ahead.
An awards night to remember
The EGR North America Awards is an esteemed event which is held every year, and it celebrates outstanding achievements in the ever-evolving and dynamic North American iGaming sector. The awards presented at the EGR North America Awards are meant to recognize and commend the various brands that continue to drive innovation and achieve success across a wide range of markets in the region. That said, Caesars Entertainment's triumph came as the sole nomination among seven esteemed operator classifications at the ceremony.
All in all, the competition for the Best Online Casino Operator award included several other top-tier Michigan-based online casinos, such as BetMGM (the winner last year) and FanDuel Casino, as well as Rush Street Interactive, the parent company of well-known BetRivers Casino.
A stellar evening for the leading iGaming brands in North America
There was no doubt that the awards night was spectacular in every way. The EGR North America Awards in 2024 showcased the stunning accomplishments of the leading iGaming firms in the US and Canada, with major brands securing victories in the six remaining categories. For instance, FanDuel Casino emerged as a standout and total success, winning two prestigious awards: Operator of the Year and Best Marketing Campaign.
On the other hand, Rush Street Interactive, the owner of BetRivers, was recognized as the Best Customer Service Operator. They had an undoubtedly impressive presence, being shortlisted in a total of four categories (the highest of any operator that night). Another notable Michigan operator, DraftKings, received the Safer Gambling Operator award. Meanwhile, BetMGM was crowned Best Sports Betting Operator, while another popular operator, High 5 Casino, won Best Social Gaming Operator.
Beyond the operator distinctions and categories, BetMGM also secured the Best Employer of the Year award, emphasizing its strong workplace culture. And among the different game providers, Evolution Gaming's title and product Crazy Time was honored as the Best New Game, while developer Light & Wonder received the Best Product Innovation award.
Caesars Entertainment's ambitious future - no looking back!
Matthew Sunderland's comments about Caesars Entertainment’s future ambitions are supported by the company's recent activities. Case in point: in the previous year alone, Caesars Entertainment launched Caesars Palace Online Casino as a separate platform in Michigan. But it hasn't stopped there: by the end of this year, another casino application from the Caesars Entertainment portfolio is set to replace WynnBET following Caesars Entertainment's acquisition of WynnBET's sports betting and online casino license in the Great Lakes state.
Despite the prestigious EGR award, Caesars Entertainment still has room to grow in Michigan. According to data from the Michigan Gaming Control Board, Caesars Palace Online Casino ranked as the fifth most visited platform in May, with $11.8 million in bets. However, Caesars is actively working to expand its iGaming presence in MI through enticing bonuses and promotions and more exciting casino games designed to draw in the crowds.
It's true that the recently concluded EGR North America Awards have not only highlighted Caesars Entertainment’s current success but also underscored the fierce competition and innovation driving and taking place in the iGaming industry. But as Caesars Entertainment continues to enhance its offerings and expand its reach, not only in the Great Lakes state but in all the states where it is allowed to operate, the future looks promising for this renowned brand indeed.
