It cannot be denied that the Los Angeles Dodgers are really quite a team that knows how to make its presence felt on both the regular season and even in the playoffs after that successful season – and yet they have also managed to steal the spotlight in the offseason when they brought in Blake Snell in the free agency, sending a strong message across the league.

If you thought that the Dodgers were going to keep the same roster considering how well they have enjoyed success with the current lineup helmed by Shohei Ohtani – who was also acquired last season – then you’re wrong. The Dodgers have added yet another impressive performer on the pitching side in Snell, and it seems that they aren’t even done yet in the offseason so far.

Considering that the offseason will still stretch through the next year, it is expected that the Dodgers may even well be on the way to come up with more key additions that will help them come up with a much stronger run in the 2025 MLB season. This just says a lot about how the odds are starting to get even more in their favor now more than ever.

Another Star to the Roster

About a year ago, Snell had to wait until his free agency run got dragged all the way to the winter signings and opted to sign a deal with the San Francisco Giants in a two-year, $62 million deal. He would go on to opt out of the said contract in hopes of testing his value on the free agency market – and guess what? It paid off big-time.

Snell has now inked a five-year, $182 million deal with the Dodgers – moving from a lowly team in the league to join a team that just won the World Series while also notching the first nine-figure deal of the offseason. At this point, it is expected that Snell can rest well for Thanksgiving and Christmas with a deal secured all the way to 2029.

So what does this mean for the Dodgers? Well, they already have Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow on the pitching roster, along with Clayton Kershaw slated to return in the next season as well. Adding Snell to that list only makes them even more dangerous to look out for now more than ever. Oh, and let’s not forget that NL MVP Shohei Ohtani is also coming in to join that group when he is cleared to pitch.

More Coming in for the Dodgers?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to continue dealing more in their offseason targets. So far, there are talks as to how they are also actively pursuing Roki Sasaki when the Chiba Lotte Marines make him officially posted. At this point, one can say that the stove is cooking for the Dodgers now more than ever, and one can say that they are still shopping.

Everyone is waiting on Juan Soto at this point, and the Yankees have even upsized its offer to the star after the news broke that the Dodgers are now joining on the Soto sweepstakes. The team has adjusted Mookie Betts to the infield and with Teoscar Hernandez now a free agent, it does seem that the Dodgers are now bent on bringing in Soto to fill in their outfield at this point in time – probably to increase their odds from +400 to a much better number.
