In recent months, we have attempted to evaluate and analyze a plethora of casinos that have caught our attention. Most of these casinos – whether social sweepstakes casinos or real money casinos – have caught our eye due to recent reports about their popularity, the fact that the general public has talked about them, and other reasons. Obviously, we are always seeking for the best casinos in this day and age, and we want nothing more than to divulge to you if these casinos are a scam or the real deal. Take the case of the newest casino we have set our sights on: Sugar Sweeps. Is Sugar Sweeps casino no deposit bonus as sweet and saccharine as it seems? Or is it hiding a dirty little secret? We will attempt once again to dissect yet another social casino in our midst and tell you all about it. So let’s all get ready as we learn the truth about Sugar Sweeps: is it a façade or is it for real?

An overview on Sugar Sweeps

The Sugar Sweeps story seems to have attracted a growing following online, and we can clearly see the allure. The Sugar Sweeps platform reminds us of a popular game, Candy Crush, and more than this, who doesn’t like sweets? And Sugar Sweeps seeks to promote itself by advertising some excellent fish games (another trend taking the online world by storm). Sugar Sweeps says it perfectly, after all: “Win big with exciting sweepstakes, fish games, and slots online, play now!”

Along with such an enticing motto, what grabbed our attention as we went through the Sugar Sweeps casino site were the games list - mind you, there were no actual game titles on the site, just the names. But upon closer inspection, we caught our breath as we looked at the ‘best online gaming experience’ – it turns out that Sugar Sweeps is affiliated with Fire Kirin and RiverSweeps, which we wrote about before and said that they were not to be trusted. Right away, we became skeptical about Sugar Sweeps and what it has to offer. But despite our misgivings, we will still try to make sense of the Sugar Sweeps casino universe. We will sift through everything, and hopefully, our worst fears will not be true.

But there is one thing you should know from the get-go: Sugar Sweeps does not actually have any games, as we mentioned. SugarSweeps acts like a portal for other game software platforms, just like our recently-concluded review for BitBetWin. So what is essentially the role of Sugar Sweeps? It’s simple, really: it acts as a conduit where you can choose from other platforms which have the games you are looking for. We repeat: there are no actual games on the Sugar Sweeps platform, and instead, you have to choose among the game platforms listed to have access to the games on each platform.

Perhaps this description from TrustPilot will enlighten you even further (as it was apparently written by Sugar Sweeps itself):

Discover the ultimate hub for sweepstakes-style games, featuring an unparalleled selection including Orion Stars, VPower, Ultra Panda, Rivers Sweeps, Gemini Slots, Game Vault, and many other platforms. At Sugarsweeps.com, we pride ourselves on being the absolute best source for online entertainment. With us, there are no cash-out limits, providing you with limitless opportunities to enjoy your winnings. Our dedicated support team is available 24/7 via live chat, ensuring a seamless and responsive gaming experience.

Do you see the difference now? Sugar Sweeps doesn’t have the games per se – if you decide to sign up, you have to choose among the different gaming platforms on the site, such as River Sweeps, Orion Stars (which we have both talked about in previous blog articles in our scam series), Game Vault, and Gemini.

How Sugar Sweeps really works

It’s somehow funny when you think about it. Basically, Sugar Sweeps casino no deposit bonus serves to direct you to other gaming platforms, which, in turn, will also be the one to give you your welcome bonus and other rewards and promotions. In short, Sugar Sweeps isn’t in charge of those, either!

But another funny thing is that you can deposit and buy a coin package with Sugar Sweeps, and you can do so with cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin (it says it right there when you visit the Sugar Sweeps platform). To us, this seems strange, to say the least.

Once you enter Sugar Sweeps, you will see a navigation bar where the categories Games, Transfer, Redeem, and Contact are displayed. Let’s take a look at each category, shall we?

Games

When you go to Games, for instance, you will immediately see the game software/platforms which Sugar Sweeps promotes. This is a full list, as follows: Orion Star, Ultra Panda, Gemini, Fire Kirin, VBLink, RSweeps, GameVault, and EGame. When you click on Orion Star, for example, you can either play the video or download the app, and you will also see the corresponding games, especially the fish games. Orion Stars even has a daily bonus wheel, and it has an app which you can download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you prefer playing Orion Stars on your web browser, you can do so as well. Orion Stars also has regular tournaments as well as a community of fish game enthusiasts.

But remember: each of these platforms require you to create a Sugar Sweeps account in order to gain access to the gaming platform, whether it’s Orion Stars or others. You will also have to provide additional info such as your name, contact number, and an email address. After you have filled in the form and ticked on the appropriate boxes, this is where it becomes a bit strange again, because you will then have to wait for a support representative to get in touch with you. They will provide you with a username and password and an OTP.

And lastly, the strangest rule of them all: before you can start enjoying the games on your chosen platform, you will have to purchase game credits first.

Transfer

The next category on the home page is Transfer. Here, you are simply asked to log in and load your account with Bitcoin.

Redeem

The third category is Redeem, and this is where you can (probably) redeem your winnings. Again, you will be asked to log in before you can attempt to redeem any winnings you earn.

Contact

The next category on the home page is Contact, which merely directs you back to the original home page. If you need to contact Sugar Sweeps for any reason, according to one review we found online, you can email [email protected] (again, we can’t vouch for the viability of this contact email or the review, which was all praise for Sugar Sweeps, despite it being loaded with red flags).

The Sugar Sweeps dilemma

One aspect that confused us about Sugar Sweeps is a simple matter with other casinos: what kind of casino is it? We are understandably confused, because Sugar Sweeps casino has a social sweepstakes casino vibe and yet it asks for a deposit (game credit) before you can even begin to play. It totally defeats the purpose of social sweepstakes casinos, which exist to give players access to casino-style games with no added risk. That means all of a social sweepstakes casino’s games are free to play, and players will never be obligated to pay or purchase anything.

This is the main reason why we cannot trust Sugar Sweeps, because if it IS a real-money casino (especially since it asks players to buy game credits first), then it would need to be licensed and regulated by the gaming authority of different states. Which, last time we checked, it isn’t. So that leaves a gaping hole in Sugar Sweeps’ operations, and leaves us with more questions than answers.

What other players have to say

Surprisingly enough, Sugar Sweeps’ reception and reviews are varied. They sway between really positive and truly negative, and there’s no in between. This is another red flag for us, even though the reviews come from independent review sites like Trustpilot. Look at a few of the reviews we have gathered:

Alisha Douglas Duckett submitted a negative review ( a rating of one star) just a few days ago, and this is what she has to say:

So here is the deal with sugar sweeps casino! I love them for easy money loading, and they often give great wins. But here's the deal! I've been playing them long enough to know their strategy is to keep you winning good and winning well. But they always keep you below the $50 cash out redemption limit. Frankly, it's so apparently obvious that their redemption limit (is) $50 and they'll let you hit jackpots etc all day long but they'll never let you go above $50 to cash out.

Meanwhile, Mya Coffman had a positive experience with Sugar Sweeps, and she gave the platform five stars:

LOVE FISHING YO (!) Well I just recently downloaded it but I’m extremely excited to see what all it’s about I love being able to deposit with cashapp & besides playing slots FISHING is my absolute favorite & I feel it’s so hard to find fishing games so I can’t wait!

The third review we’ve seen from someone named Sweet Bonanza gave Sugar Sweeps one star as well, and she posted her review on the 31st of July, 2024:

I literally won $260 and was about to do a spin and it logged me out saying someone is on my account from another device and I tried to withdraw before they took my winnings and also talked to customer service and told them (to) change my password. Guess what someone did 5 $50 spins while it logged me off. I'm so pissed this is such a scam site. I know it was the company sugarsweeps that logged in my account and spent all my winnings so I wouldn't cash anything out

The fourth and last review of Sugar Sweeps came from Katherine Wong, and she gave Sugar Sweeps high praise on June 27, 2024, saying:

You are cheating yourself if you play anywhere else. This is the only place I can find that actually has no cash out limits and is always available 24/7. Not like other sites where they are so slow to respond. These guys have it together.

In case you haven’t noticed, we were struck by how inconsistent the reviews of Sugar Sweeps are. On one hand, there were reviews that were all positive (it didn’t even seem real), while on the other hand, there were also reviews that were scathing and talked about how Sugar Sweeps was a scam through and through. Being that Trustpilot is usually a trustworthy website, we aren’t sure if we could trust all these reviews regarding Sugar Sweeps.

Is Sugar Sweeps legit?

After reading all the reviews online and dissecting the Sugar Sweeps platform from top to bottom, we can honestly and readily say that, just like its sister sites like River Sweeps and Fire Kirin, there’s something wrong with the whole picture. A social sweepstakes casino (or any other casino, for that matter) should fit together nicely, just like a jigsaw puzzle. But whenever we attempted to construct and make sense of Sugar Sweeps, we were left with even bigger pieces that didn’t fit anywhere.

For instance, try as we might, we could never find any legitimate reviews of Sugar Sweeps online, and all the reviews we did find seemed bogus. And it didn’t help at all that the one site we trust, Trustpilot, didn’t have the answers we were looking for. So at the end of it all, we couldn’t really vouch for the legitimacy of Sugar Sweeps. First of all, it doesn’t have a license, which means it isn’t regulated by any gaming authority. This is a red flag in itself. Secondly, we get the impression that it’s a social sweepstakes casino, yet why does it require players to buy game credits? We have never heard of social sweepstakes casinos that require players to buy credits or make a deposit first – buying bundles or coin packages is completely optional.

We can point out a number of other aspects that nullify Sugar Sweeps’ claim of being a legit casino, but it all boils down to the same thing: if you really want a legit and safe casino, you could do a lot better than Sugar Sweeps. It is simply not worth your time, effort, and most of all, money.

Are you sure?

This will delete all chat history, and I will not remember what we were talking about.
