PointsBet has opted to withdraw from the North American

0.0

Following the recent acquisition of all of its US assets by Fanatics Sportsbook, PointsBet has opted to withdraw all of its operations from the North American to open up Q2 2024, with Fanatics now taking over all of its presence in the United States. Fanatics has finished taking over all the 20 states where PointsBet originally has cemented its presence over the years. A $225 million deal took place last year between the owners of Fanatics Betting and Gaming and PointsBet in a bid to transfer its assets to the latter as it exited the American market.

What do we know about PointsBet sportsbook

Rising from the other side of the world in Australia, PointsBet has made its presence felt on the world stage by bringing in a fun betting experience with a rich and detailed page with competitive betting odds that you can enjoy to the fullest. Players who are looking for a promising and experienced operator can rely on PointsBet to provide a fulfilling gambling session like no other.

Withdrawing from the US market of sports betting is a strategic choice for PointsBet, cutting their losses and finally focusing their efforts to become Australia’s premier sports betting platform and enriching their place in the global sports betting scene to a bigger level. Who knows, we may see a potential comeback from PointsBet should they be able to arise from their setback.

Bettors who have an existing account in PointsBet will automatically have their account transferred to Fanatics Sportsbook seamlessly. Users can be sure that their migrated accounts will have retained all of its migrated account balance and rewards.

For anyone curious about the face in the PointsBet ads, it's straightforward – that's Paige Spiranac. She teamed up with the global sportsbook operator PointsBet as a brand ambassador back in 2021, taking on roles as an on-air personality and securing a "significant" equity share. Making waves, Paige Spiranac was crowned 'Sexiest Woman Alive' by Maxim in their 2022 Hot 100 list, marking the first time an athlete has snagged the top spot.

Before its decision to withdraw from the US market, PointsBet has built a promising sports betting presence in the country, being able to cater to 14 different states and bringing the betting experience to a wider audience like no other.

PointsBet has become a popular pick across different states, from the busy streets of New York all the way to the chilling breeze in Colorado, the expansion of the sportsbook was like a blitz that found its way through different places, committing to the American sports psyche and coming up with a promising experience that jives well with the people’s love for the sports world.

As the chapters of this growth story unfold, one thing remains certain: PointsBet's journey in the US is not just about marking territories; it's about crafting memorable experiences, one bet at a time.

Time went by, and PointsBet became a prominent icon in the American sports betting industry. The consistent presence of PointsBet in key states and its highly immersive betting experience has allowed it to ascend into one of the best options that you can consider before its eventual withdrawal from the US.

As of the time of writing, however, PointsBet is no longer available in the United States after its withdrawal and transfer of assets to Fanatics Sportsbook in April 2024. Should you ever find yourself on PointsBet’s website, there will be a message that will redirect you to the Fanatics Sportsbook instead.
