Most of the guests at Resorts World Catskills are already aware that the resort casino has a premier hotel, but not everyone may be aware that there is another hotel where they can stay, called The Alder. The Alder is an upscale boutique hotel adjacent to the main hotel. There are also a lot of hotels near Resorts World Catskills, if you ever feel like staying in other hotels in the area.
For guests who choose to stay in Resorts World Catskills itself, they can relax and spend the night at one of the many hotel suites, where each and every suite oozes luxury and style. Suites can range from 650 sq. feet to as much as 2,000 sq. feet, and they are filled with all the modern comforts and luxuries such as 55-inch TVs, alarm clocks, coffee makers, mini-fridges, and work desks. Amenities also include complimentary WiFi, pool and fitness center access, free garage self-parking, bottled water, coffee, and tea, and unlimited local calls.
Along with this, the dining options at Resorts World Catskills are also plentiful, and they include an Italian steakhouse, an Asian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and even a food hall, in true Resorts World style. Hotel
The hotel at Resorts World Catskills is composed of two properties: the actual hotel within Resorts World Catskills itself and The Alder. First, the hotel at Resorts World is filled with suites, with each suite designed expressly to give guests wonderful accommodations. The suites are located in a LEED certified structure and filled with 5-star services and amenities. Guests can take advantage of a spacious bathroom which features a vanity, a dressing area, double sinks, and Molton Brown toiletries. Along with this, there are other amenities such as an in-suite safe, coffee makers, minibars, iHome clocks with wireless charging stations, high speed WiFi, irons and ironing boards, and flat-screen TVs. Each suite also has sweeping, panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains.
Guests can choose from the Double Queen Suite, the King Suite, the Luxury King Suite, the Palace Garden Suite, and the Palace Two Story Villa. Each suite is very spacious and features a seating area and two double beds for the Double Queen Suite; a sofa and an armchair plus a king bed for the King Suite; a sofa and a dining table plus a king-sized for the Luxury King Suite; an expansive seating area, a coffee table, a bar, and a king-sized bed for the Palace Garden Suite; and a living room, 4-seater dining table, and an upstairs bedroom for the Palace Two Story Villa.
The Alder at Resorts World Catskills
The Alder at Resorts World Catskills, as mentioned, is your second accommodation option at the property, and it is the newest addition to Resorts World and comes complete with guest rooms and all the modern amenities, including a flat-screen television (55”), a coffee maker, toiletries from Malin+Goetz, an iHome clock with a wireless charging station, complimentary WiFi, and complete access to the indoor pool, spa and salon, fitness center, and of course, the casino and dining establishments available at Resorts World. Also available are hearing- and mobility-accessible rooms with one king or two queen-sized beds, and these rooms have roll-in showers as well.
Spa
The Awana Spa is Resorts World Catskills’ answer to a spa and salon, and at Awana Spa, guests can have a calming and relaxing experience with a range of massages, body treatments, facials, hair care, nail care, and more. It also features a relaxation lounge, and there are six rooms, steam rooms, saunas, and even a spa pool with cabanas. Guests have free access to the relaxation lounges as well as to the indoor spa swimming pool. The spa is open every day (except Tuesday and Wednesday) from 10am to 6pm every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday and on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 8pm. It also offers a Spa Day Pass for only $59 where guests can enjoy a three-hour access to the spa amenities, including the indoor swimming pool and hot tub.
Pool
The indoor pool is an oasis of calm and rejuvenation at Resorts World Catskills, and it is also equipped with cabanas, daybeds, and chaise lounges. There is also an outside pool deck surrounded with the beauty of nature, and there is a 21-and over pool area which is secluded from the general public. The indoor pool is open from 7am to 10pm. Aside from the main indoor pool, there is also an indoor pool and hot tub in the Spa.
Fitness Center
There is a fitness center at Resorts World Catskills, and it features state-of-the-art fitness equipment such as rower machines, bikes, ellipticals, free weights, and a lot more.
Monster Golf Club
Monster Golf Club is a golf course within the Resorts World Catskills property, and it has an 18-hole golf course designed by none other than Rees Jones. It also has a Pro Shop offering every golf souvenir and paraphernalia, and it has regular tournaments and outings on offer as well.
Dining at Restaurants
Dining at Resorts World Catskills is another worthwhile experience, and guests have a whole assortment of restaurants and bars from which to choose. Whether you’re looking for a cozy and intimate place to bring your significant other on a date or a place where you can celebrate with your friends or family, there is something for every event or occasion at Resorts World Catskills.
There are over ten Resorts World Catskills restaurants and dining spots to choose from, including the famous Cellaio steakhouse, the Empire Lounge, where you can indulge in your favorite drinks, or 24/7 Bistro, where you can satisfy your comfort food cravings. Here’s a rundown of the restaurants and bars at Resorts World Catskills:
Cellaio
Cellaio is Resorts World Catskills’ wonderful Italian steakhouse, and it boasts superb offerings made by none other than Chef Scott Conant. It serves melt-in-your-mouth steaks made from USDA 100% Certified Black Angus Beef, and it has an entire selection of antipasti, fresh pasta, market salads, and more. Guests are encouraged to make a reservation on the website or by calling 845-428-7497. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday at 5pm, and it closes at 10pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and closes at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Cellaio also has daily additions to the menu as well as a Christmas menu that includes Chicken Scarpariello, Kansas City Strip, Campanelle, and Eggnog Bundino for dessert. It also has an extensive drinks and wine list along with a dessert menu, and guests can book it for private events.
Lotus
Lotus is next on the restaurant list at Resorts World Catskills, and it is well-known for its Asian dishes and specialties that include chicken curry, Peking duck, and Coral Shrimp. It has a full tea service and guests are also strongly encouraged to make a reservation on the website or contact 845-428-7496. The menu includes such dishes as Chinese Five Spice Chicken Wings and Pork Pot Stickers for appetizers, rice and noodle dishes such as Lo Mein, Pad Thai, and Fried Rice, and Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Lobster, Shrimp Stir Fry, and Beef Broccoli. The place also serves cocktails. It is open every Sunday to Tuesday (5pm to 10pm) and Friday to Saturday (5pm to 11pm), but is closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Dos Gatos Cantina
Dos Gatos Cantina is Resorts World’s own Mexican eatery, and it is located right in The Alder. It also has a full-service bar with an array of tequila. Guests can make a reservation by calling 845-428-7200 ext. 1268. It also offers Happy Hour with specialty drinks such as Red Harvest Sangria and Draft Beer for only $5. In addition, there is live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests can also enjoy the outdoors at Las Luces, where they can play badminton, Jenga, bocce ball, chess, and more, or just sit back and relax. The menu includes such delectable dishes as Birria Ramen, nachos, quesadillas, street tacos, chimichangas (our personal fave!), and desserts like churros and tres leches cake. It is open from Thursday to Sunday from 12pm to 8pm but it closes later on Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm.
24/7 Bistro
24/7 Bistro is Resorts World Catskills’ answer to real comfort food, and it features everything from breakfast food favorites to quesadillas and grilled salmon. Its menu must-tries include Bagels and Lox for breakfast, The One Burger and Meatloaf for lunch, and the Tuscan Caesar Salad for late night meals. It also has a Sunday Brunch menu that includes cheese blintzes and Applewood smoked bacon, quiches, Belgian waffles, tuna salad, and a build-your-own-yogurt station. The price for the Sunday Brunch buffet is $28 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and under. 24/7 Bistro is open on Sundays to Thursdays from 7am to 11pm and 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays.
RW Food Hall
Of course, Resorts World Catskills has its very own food hall, and it has jumped onto the food hall craze with gusto. The menu selections are guaranteed to satisfy every palate, whether you want bakery treats, pizzas, burgers, quesadillas, and more. The menu features coffee, breakfast items, grilled dishes, fried specialties, soups and salads, bakery items, and ‘Grab ‘n Go’ sandwiches. Our favorites are the Jackpot Burger, the Gyro, the Popcorn Chicken Basket, the Funghi pizza, and sandwiches such as Roast Beef and Swiss and the Turkey and Gruyere. The RW Food Hall is open every Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 10pm and Friday to Saturday from 7am to 12am. The Grill is also open on Wednesday to Sunday from 12nn – 8pm, but the Grill is closed from Monday to Tuesday.
Good Friends
If you are looking for another Asian restaurant, look no further than Good Friends. Their specialty is Asian street food, and here is where you’ll find culinary delights such as noodle dishes and hot soups inspired by the street food from Vietnam, Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong. The menu includes top tasty street fare such as pot stickers, spring rolls, curry laksa, sesame chicken, and an array of barbecued meats. It is open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 1am.
Bars
Resorts World Catskills is no stranger to bars, and it's got plenty of bars fit for every occasion under the sun, including its own sportsbook where guests can enjoy drinks and sports games until the wee hours.
Sportsbook 360
Sportsbook 360 is at the center of every sport and sports game, and it features 6,000 sq. feet of space dedicated to sports complete with a 360-degree center bar along with 32 flat-screen TVs and a high-definition screen measuring 9’x16’ high. Moreover, aside from allowing guests to wager on their favorite sports and games, guests have the option of wagering at the betting kiosks, over 30 in all, which are spread throughout the floor of the casino, and they are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As mentioned earlier, the bar is open every Sunday to Thursday from 12pm to 12am and on Friday to Saturday from 12pm to 2am.
Butterfly Beach Pool Bar
The Butterfly Beach Pool Bar can be found near the Palace Gaming high-limit lounge, and it is right at the heart of all the action on the casino floor. It also has a stunning panorama of the pool atrium. The bar is open every Wednesday to Friday from 12pm to 3am and every Saturday from 10am to 3am. It is also open on Sundays from 12pm to 3am, but it is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Note that hours may change without notice, and only guests who are 21 years old and older are allowed to drink and enter.
Empire Lounge
The Empire Lounge has a cool speakeasy vibe, and it is located at the lobby of the hotel. It features handcrafted cocktails straight out of the Prohibition era, and it is open every Sunday to Thursday from 12pm to 12am and Friday & Saturday from 12pm to 2am.
There are also a ton of dining events and specials at Resorts World Catskills, including happy hour with live entertainment every Friday and Saturday starting at 5pm to 8pm, a Football Draft Beer Special, the aforementioned Daily Additions to Cellaio, Holiday Starbucks Specials, the Industrial Arts Brewing Company Happy Hour, and more. Please be reminded that these specials and events are only for the month of December, 2024, and they may also change without prior notice. Shopping
Shopping at Resorts World Catskills is also possible through the on-site retail shop, RW Merch. The store boasts a broad array of merchandise ranging from Resorts World Catskills-inspired souvenir items as well as specialties from the surrounding area, magazines, cigarettes, newspapers, sundries, toiletries, snacks, and other items. In addition, RW Merch offers jewelry for that special someone as well as alcohol, perfect as gifts, giveaways, or the ideal treat for yourself, especially after a jackpot win on the gaming floor.
Also, you can venture out to other shops in the area, such as Galleria at Crystal Run, located in Middletown, New York, and it is just 25 minutes away from the resort casino. Another shopping center nearby is Woodbury Premium Outlets, around 45 minutes away.
Active Events
The active events at Resorts World Catskills are a dime a dozen, especially during special occasions and events such as the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Eve. For example, this December 2024, as previously stated, there are a lot of featured events – and there are more specials in store, such as The Temptations & The Four Tops, which will have a concert on December 29 at the RW Epicenter. Next to that is the much-awaited New Year’s Eve Celebration, which will be on December 31 at Dos Gatos, Bar 360, Empire Lounge, and Doubletop, where Happy Hour will run until 2am.
Along with these, there is always free live entertainment every Friday and Saturday from acts like DJ Rayza, Here 24 Band, DJ King James, Digital Diva Tara, Cloud Nyne, DJ Grand Finale, Virtual Band NYC, The Rhythm Pilots, and so much more – this lineup is only for December of 2024, so it is best to check back every month.
Parking
Although it is not stated in the website, parking is available at Resorts World Catskills for free, and there is valet parking as well. There is a free parking garage at the casino.
