The attractions don’t end on the casino floor at Red Hawk Casino Resort. In fact, the casino games are just part of the amenities and services provided by the property. As mentioned earlier, Red Hawk went through a complete transformation in early 2023, when its 4-star hotel opened to rave reviews in May and it also opened its entertainment center in December of 2022. The Apex, a family-friendly amusement center, is located just above the parking garage and features a Red Hawk Casino bowling alley, a golf simulator, a go-kart racetrack, a virtual reality arcade, and a sports bar and restaurant. It is perfect for families, and teens will especially love the racing and arcade games. Guests can also choose to leave their kids at Kids Quest, a children’s entertainment facility where parents can leave their kids in the care of the staff. Parents can take their children aged six weeks to up to 12 years old to Kids Quest.
When it comes to the Red Hawk Casino hotel and resort, guests will also have plenty to choose from, whether they are looking for a variety of guest rooms within the 5-story hotel or are seeking a bevy of hotel-related amenities such as an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and more. Hotel
Red Hawk Casino Resort is well-known among the surrounding community for its hotel, which has a total of 156 rooms over 5 stories. There are comfortable and cozy deluxe rooms to more spacious premier suites, and these rooms boast a stunning view of the foothills, especially with each room’s floor to ceiling windows. The Premium King Suite at Red Hawk Casino offers a king bed in a more expansive 900-square feet room, and it also has lighted cabinets, a Keurig coffee maker, two flat-screen TVs, a power room, twin vanities complete with a make-up mirror, and stone surfaces.

Although there doesn’t seem to be a spa within the property, you can visit other spas in the surrounding area. Some spas nearby include Massage Envy in El Dorado Hills, about 9 miles away, Body Mind Spirit Soul, about 4 miles’ distance from Red Hawk casino, and The Right Touch, approximately 4.3 miles away.
Parking
Red Hawk Casino Resort offers parking facilities on-site for guests and patrons, and parking is for free as long as you are staying at the hotel, playing at the casino, or dining in. There is also complimentary valet parking and a multiple-level parking garage with over 3,000 covered and well-lit parking slots.
Fuel Station and Travel Center
For guests that need to gas up, Red Hawk Casino has its very own fuel station built by the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, the Express Fuel Station. It also has its own Travel Center and convenience store. The Travel Center sells a number of items, such as soda, coffee, cigarettes, beer, wine, tobacco products (including vapes), automotive, technology, and grocery and food essentials. There is also a touchless car wash and vacuum stations. The Travel Center is open every day from 6am to 10pm.
Dining
The dining establishments at Red Hawk are plentiful, and if you are staying at the hotel, you can also do takeout. Unfortunately, there is no room service available but there are different food choices within the property so it’s not a hassle to go out.
Restaurant
In terms of restaurants, you will be delighted to know that there are several restaurants within the property and more outside Red Hawk Casino Resort. Within Red Hawk itself, you have different options in formal or casual dining, including the popular Red Hawk Casino buffet - the Koto Buffet, Henry’s Steakhouse, Asian specialties, coffee, bars and lounges, and more.
Henry’s Steakhouse
This is Red Hawk’s flagship restaurant, and the interior is both warm and inviting with a combination of leather seats and wood. The menu includes Porterhouse steaks, Long Bone Ribeye (good for two), Tuna Poke, and Chicken Piccata. For hard-wood grilled specialties, the Filet Mignon Florentine is a must-try, and so is the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The restaurant also serves Happy Hour specials. Henry’s Steakhouse is open on Friday & Saturday from 5pm to 10pm and on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm.
Verona Coffeehouse
Verona Coffeehouse is Red Hawk Casino’s own brews and blends café, and it takes pride in its aromatic beverage selections. It is open 24 hours each and every day, 7 days a week, and it also offers breakfast meals as well as sandwiches and snacks. It has a Happy Hour menu as well featuring a 50% discount on hot or iced coffees and lattes.
Pearl Asian Cuisine
If you’re in the mood to sample Asian delicacies, head to Pearl Asian Cuisine for Chinese food along with superb Pacific Rim dishes. The lunch menu includes gyoza and salt and pepper squid for appetizers and shu mai and char siu bao for dim sum. Don’t fail to try out the Kung Pao chicken and the Pancit with Chicken and Shrimp. For dinner, we recommend the lumpia for starters and the salt & pepper tofu, the jalapeno chicken, and the Spicy Salt & Pepper Prawns. It is open on Mondays to Sundays from 11:30am to 3pm for lunch, Sunday to Thursday from 4pm to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 11pm for dinner. The restaurant also serves Happy Hour specials.
Koto Buffet
Koto Buffet at the Red Hawk casino and resort is widely known for its smorgasbord food offerings, making it a popular choice with families and group events. It offers an all-you-can-eat menu of meat, fish and seafood, and various gourmet food choices, and the offerings can vary per season. Koto Buffet requires reservations and has a 90-minute dining time, and children 5 and under can dine for free. Children from 6 to 12 years old can dine for discounted rates depending on the season and the day of dining. Highlights of the weekly menu include fish & chips, a taco bar, an omelet station, smoked BBQ brisket, creamy mustard pork chops, garlic crusted New York striploin, chicken adobo, pasta Bolognese, Maine lobster, steamed snow crab, baked oysters, and T-bone steaks.
It is open every Monday to Saturday from noon until 3pm, and for the dinner service from 4pm to 10pm. On Sundays, it is open from 10am to 3pm for the brunch service and from 4pm to 8pm for dinner. You can also use your Rewards Card every Monday and Wednesday for a $15 discount.

Bars and Lounges
There are also several bars and lounges at Red Hawk casino, perfect for a nightcap or night out with friends. The High Limit Bar, for starters, is just inside the High Limit area, and it features an array of specialties including Banh Mi sandwiches, burgers, ramen, poke nachos, teriyaki bowls, and even sushi. The High Limit Bar is open every Monday to Thursday from noon to 11pm, on Fridays from noon to 12am, on Saturdays from 10am to 12am, and on Sundays, also from 10am to 11pm.
The Apex Sports Bar is another bar located within the Apex entertainment center, and it is ideal for watching your favorite sports games and matches. It has a wide selection of premium cocktails and beverages, including beer and wine, and it also has regular events that include DJ Trivia Nights, Fight Nights, Kings at Apex, and more. The Apex Sports Bar is open Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 11pm, Fridays from 12pm to 12am, Saturdays from 10am to 12am, and Sundays from 10am to 11pm.
Henry’s Mahogany Bar is also a destination for cocktails and drinks, and guests can enjoy an assortment of craft beers and specialty cocktails along with bar-top video games. The Red Hawk Resort + Casino also has its very own Stage Bar, which features live music every weekend, on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Apex
The Apex at Red Hawk is a whole new destination for families and friends, and it’s an entertainment and events center that features activities such as the ever-popular Red Hawk Casino go karts, interactive 18-lane bowling, a golf simulator, and a video game arcade. Guests can also dine at the Apex Grill, which is open every day from 11:30am to 10pm on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays and 11:30am to 12am on Fridays and Saturdays. Its menu includes flatbreads, burgers, shareable items like nachos, loaded tater tots, chicken nuggets, and pizzas. There is also the aforementioned Apex Sports Bar with its signature drinks, including Game Day Drinks and Signature Slushy. You can book the Apex Center for birthday parties and corporate events as well.
Shopping
There aren’t many shopping options at Red Hawk resort and casino. But you can visit the Red Hawk Resort + Casino gift shop, which has a broad selection of candies and snacks as well as fashion apparel, handbags, sunglasses, and other accessories. There are also various Red Hawk merchandise, such as coffee mugs, sweatshirts, baseball caps, and t-shirts. The gift shop is open every day from 10am to 2am.
There are also other shops nearby, such as The Pick It Fence (about 4 miles away), French Quarter Home Décor & Garden (approximately 3 miles), and Under the Arbor, which is around 2 miles away. Aside from these smaller boutiques, there are also bigger stores such as TJ Maxx (4 miles).
Active Events
As mentioned, Red Hawk casino and resort plays host to a number of events every week and every month. There are family-friendly events and activities at both Cyber Quest (the video game arcade at the Apex Center) and Kids Quest (the child care facility which offers a children’s playground, a Techno Quest adventure, and a Tiny Tots area), and the different bars and lounges also offer events and entertainment options year-round. For example, at the Red Hawk Resort + Casino Stage Bar, the lineup of musicians and shows for November 2024 include Power Play, Ride Captain Ride, Sons of Rock, Night Owl, Chad Bushnell, AudioBoxx, and Roland Abante. These musical performers offer a diverse range of music, from classic rock to country and even ‘yacht rock.’
The Apex Sports Bar also has an exclusive event lineup for November, including Fight Nights, where patrons can enjoy watching on large-screen televisions, and DJ Trivia night every Wednesday where you can bring your friends and compete in trivia quiz games for fabulous prizes.
